Olallie Lake - July 26-29, 2002
Because of the lack of enough snow melt in Snow Lake, the last-minute
decision was made to go to a lake that was a little lower in elevation and
therefore snow-free. It was also a relatively short hike in and had day
hike possibilities out off it to a dozen or so other lakes.
The hike in was pleasant, but it was overcast, a little cool and even has
some of that famous Seattle "mist" that got everything slightly
damp. It was a good thing Dale brought up a tarp big enough to string over
our designated cooking area so we would have a dry place to go to if it got any
wetter -- which it did by Sunday afternoon.
