Rae Consulting LLC was formed February 1, 2000. Through this company, it's Principal, Dale Rae, provides Oracle software consulting services to customers in the Greater Seattle Area. However, Mr. Rae's independent consulting career was short-lived. He was "made and offer he couldn't refuse" by a prospective customer and accepted a position as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator for Terabeam Corporation -- a well-financed startup company in the Seattle area. He started there full-time on May 1, 2000. All good things must come to end, however, and Terabeam was no exception. They were acquired by YDI Networks in April of 2004. YDI did not have any Oracle database systems and did not want any. By June, Mr. Rae was let go along with the other 115 or so Seattle-based Terabeam employees. There is a good side to the story however! One of Terabeam's vendors was working with Mr. Rae and others on the purchase of some new Oracle software as well as some computer hardware at the time. When they found out he was available, they made him an offer of employment. He accepted their offer and started work for PWI Technologies on June 21, 2004. Then PWI was acquired and became the northwest sales arm of Incentra Solutions. Their main focus was not on Oracle consulting so Dale, along with the Oracle team, left the company in 2006. Dale now works as a Managing Principal Consultant for Impac Services, a northwest-based, full-service professional consulting organization focusing on Oracle products.
Since 1987, Mr. Rae has been working on Oracle-based systems with mid to large sized companies in many roles including database administration, systems analysis, development, installation and upgrades. His personal experiences include project planning, system analysis, design, creation and implementation, as well as custom forms, reports and PL/SQL development.
